Camping is new to us so we thought it a good idea to have a trial run and see how it all works. A couple of weeks ago we tried out our new rig at The Baths in Citrusdal, about 2 hours out of Cape Town on the Namibian Route. Wow such an awesome place :-)
This was a great idea as we could get our bearings so to say. With a bit of research and common sense we think at this stage we have everything covered. The real test starts on Saturday though when we leave for a month from Cape Town to our first stop Port Nolath. From there we'll play it day to day. We must be at Vic Falls on the 27th of June as we've booked in there and my husband Dave and a couple of friends John and Sally are running the Vic Falls Marathon on the 29th June. We should be back in Cape Town on or before the 7th of July.
This year is quite a milestone for us as its Dave's 50th year and our 25th Anniversary too so its time to shake things up a bit.
As we go I'll be making a journal of where we go and hopefully get to play a bit with my camera to showcase some of the magic we hope to experience. If this isn't a test of a marriage then I don't know what is so .......... diving in the deep end and hope to come out breathing on the other side with all my limbs in place and still having a ring on my finger :-)))
