Luderitz caught us for a sucker....
We came into Luderitz the other day and the weather was stunning. Took a drive around the town and looked at Shark Island camp site then took a drive out to Dias Point about 30 km out of town to have a squiz then after an ale and lunch decided to head on back to Shark Island as the view was great and the evening sublime.. After a couple of glasses of my favorite wine we retired to bed around 9 or 10. It gets dark here really early though lol... At around midnight we were woken up with gale force winds lifting the ladder and our fly sheet. It was horrific and eventually we packed it all up in the wee hours when we were worried the tent wouldn't make the night.. Also worried that we had a long holiday ahead and the tent a vital part of that holiday.
